How can Georgia Tech support you? AFAC seeks your input!
The Academic Faculty Advisory Council (AFAC) is a volunteer committee of both tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty, with representatives from all units in the College of Sciences. We serve in an advisory capacity to the Dean and Associate Deans only – we cannot enact policies ourselves.
Our goal is to discuss challenges AND opportunities for supporting our faculty across academic units. To that end, we want to hear from you. Suggestions below should be concerns or ideas affecting unit-level of cross-unit challenges and opportunities.
Before providing your input below, please consider these points:
- Is your idea or concern pertinent to you / your position only?
- If YES, this doesn’t fall within the scope of the AFAC’s discussions, and please do not use the form below to report it. Individual faculty concerns should be directed to their Unit chairs, ombudsmen, and other resources provided by the CoS and GT. We have copied some of these links at the bottom of this form if that applies.
- If NO, and you believe the idea or concern is pertinent to faculty across a unit or units, we welcome your input!
- Please note the AFAC members, as individual faculty, are mandatory reporters, as are the IT personnel who help manage this submission portal. Your input will be treated as anonymous and by default is provided to the AFAC de-identified, unless you choose to enter your name with the form below (OPTIONAL). HOWEVER, if you provide information that requires investigation IT may have to direct your input to further investigation and potential identification.
